Oda Nobunaga ( 織田信長? ) (Born 23 June , 1534 - died 21 June 1582 at the age of 47 years) is a daimyo Japanese who live out of the Sengoku period up to the time of Azuchi-Momoyama .
Born as heir to Nobuhide Oda , Nobunaga had to compete for the right to become the clan's chief with his younger brother Oda Nobuyuki . After winning in battle against the Imagawa clan and Saito clan , Nobunaga became a follower of Ashikaga Yoshiaki and was appointed official in Kyoto . Nobunaga's opponents like the Takeda clan , the Asakura clan , supporters of the Enryakuji temple , and Ishiyama Honganji temple can be conquered by Ashikaga Yoshiaki's help. Nobunaga runs a free market policy ( rakuichi rakuza ) and conducts a territorial survey.
Nobunaga is known for his controversial policies such as the rejection of power by an established clan, and the adoption of followers from families whose origins are unclear. Nobunaga managed to win many battles in the Sengoku era thanks to the use of new model firearms. In addition, he is feared for his often cruel acts, such as the order to burn all the besieged opponents in Enryakuji's temple, so Nobunaga gets the title of the demon king.
